With over 100 Beaches, ranging from tiny coves to vast stretches of sand, there is probably a beach to suit every visitor to Menorca.

SON PARC
Medium sized resort with a small commercial centre. Large white sandy beach, which is very shallow for the first 20-30 metres and surrounded by Pine trees, backed by sand dunes. Parking near the beach, beach bar and water sports of all kinds.

PUNTA PRIMA
This is one of the nearest beaches to Ca’n Cassie and is a large stretch of fine white sand, which is very rocky at the eastern end. Situated in a small, but growing resort with bars and shops, easy parking right on the beach, sun beds, water sports, Lifeguard etc.

CALES COVES
A small coarse beach reached by a short walk down a steep sided gorge. There are many caves high up in the walls of the gorge, which are worth exploring.

CALA’N PORTER (Cala En Porter)
An established resort; quite large and lively by Menorcan standards, with beach bars and easy parking. The beach is reached from the resort by steps, lots of steps! – although there is a regular shuttle bus from the centre to the beach which has bars, restaurants, sun beds, parasols & pedaloes for hire; water sports etc. Shops dot the cliffs to the East and one of their more unusual attractions is the Cova d’en Xoroi – a bar by day and disco by night, with stunning views out to sea.

SON BOU
Backed by sand dunes and freshwater marshes, this 2-mile stretch of sand is the longest beach in Menorca. Bars, restaurants and shops in the nearby commercial centre. Beach bars, lifeguards, sun beds, wind surfing, water skiing, water slides, parking and plenty of space.

SANT THOMAS (Santo Thomás)
At the western end of Son Bou. A long narrow strip of soft white sand backed by hills. A quiet resort with beach bars, water sports and parking facilities.

Typical of the Menorcan coastline with an amazing beach.

CALA MITJANA
Situated down a small rocky track off the road from Ferreries to Cala Galdana, on the left-hand side just before Cala Galdana, but at the end lies a south-facing cove, bounded by wooded cliffs. Easy to park – the owners make a small charge for your car – no facilities.

ARENAL DE SON SAURA
Follow a sign-posted minor road from the southern ring road at Ciutadella. There are many gates to open, but the track is unmistakable and leads to a sheltered bay, with gently shelving pure white sand. No bar or restaurants and no people or facilities, except parking.

SON XORIGUER
Two smallish beaches of white sand. Small resort with a centre around a marina. Easy access, ample parking, beach bars and restaurants. Water sports are a speciality.

ARENAL D’EN CASTELL
The beach is almost a perfect semi-circular cove with a gentle, fine white sand slope into the water. Beach bars, restaurants and all types of water sports.

ALCAUFAR
A secluded, sheltered cove with gentle shelving sand, not far from Ca’n Cassie. One Hotel. Parking.

CALA MESQUIDA
An unspoilt cove with plenty of parking on the sand behind the beach. Very popular with the locals on weekends, but is less busy in the week. Parking.

CALA MACARELLA
Picturesque pine-fringed cove, approachable by car from the outer ring road at Ciutadella, or by foot from Cala Galdana.

BINIBECA (Binibequer)
Again close to Ca’n Cassie, it is a small horseshoe bay with Binibeca Vell to the West and Cala Torret to the East and a selection of bars and restaurants in each. Binibeca, an architect-designed 70’s ‘fishing village’ is all self-catering villas and apartments on various levels built around cobbled alleyways, with not a Hotel in sight. Bars, sun beds, water sports, easy parking.

CALA BLANCA
Small picturesque resort beach with facilities including sun beds, pedaloes and choice of bars and restaurants. Large car park near the beach and caves in the limestone cliffs, which line either side of the cove, are well worth exploring.

CALA PREGONDA
Access is by a 20-minute walk from Binimella. Unusual rock formations, pines and tamarisk trees surround the beach. No facilities.

CALA GALDANA
One of the Island’s most popular beaches, it is a pine clad, horse-shoe shaped bay with the Algendar Gorge at one end and impressive views from the Penyal Vermell at the other. Has all facilities including bars, restaurants and water sports.

ES GRAU
Large sandy beach surrounded by dunes, pines and tamarisk trees, leading to the S’Albufera freshwater lake. The whole area is a National Park providing lovely walks around the Lakes and forest, as well as Boat trips to the island of Colom. The small village provides bars, restaurants and shops.

PLAYA DE FORNELLS
Located 2 miles out of Fornells, this purpose-built holiday village has a small beach with a footpath leading to a larger beach at Cala Tirant, where you can hire sunloungers, parasols and pedaloes. Dinghies, catamarans and windsurfing equipment are also available for hire.
